What it Means for Advocates:
Host a Shabbat meal for your friends and/or family. When it comes time to recite the blessings for the wine and bread, use it as a teachable moment and educate your guests about the origins of the foods that they are about to consume. Facilitate a conversation about food choices and what people are or are not eating and why. Why are they making these choices? Are there any trends or patterns amongst your guests?
