MAZON’s response to the fire in Israel

| December 6, 2010

We at MAZON join with the Jewish community in lamenting the disastrous fire in the Carmel Forest in northern Israel that caused the tragic loss of life and property.

MAZON: A Jewish Response to Hunger continues to coordinate our response efforts and assess the need with other partners in the 45-member Jewish Coalition for Disaster Relief. While much remains to be done, it appears that the immediate food needs of those impacted by the fire are being met by the Israeli government and NGOs focused on disaster relief.

We are in daily touch with our grantees in Israel and if there is any sign of hunger-related need either now or in the long term as a result of the fire, MAZON will be there.

If you would like to respond to other fire-relief efforts, we suggest that you consider donating to any of the organizations listed by the JTA.

  1. You actually make it appear so easy with your presentation but I to find this topic to be really one thing that I think I might never understand. It sort of feels too complex and extremely wide for me.
