MAZON Board and Staff mourn the loss of Rabbi Jack Stern

| April 18, 2011

It is with profound sadness that I share with you the death of our beloved MAZON board member,
Rabbi Jack Stern (z”l).

May his words from a 1983 sermon bring comfort to his many mourners:

“Such is the meaning of faith—to know that the melody is playing
even when we may not hear it—to know that our beloved are safe
even if they are beyond our sight.”

Each of us were blessed to have a wonderful relationship with Jack over the years. Jack was so dedicated to MAZON. His memory will forever serve as a blessing and inspiration to all of us as we continue the work of ending hunger.
