MAZON finalizes list of 2012 Partnership Grant recipients

| June 12, 2012

MAZON: A Jewish Response to Hunger has awarded more than $3.4 million in partnership grants to 284 anti-hunger organizations in the United States, Israel, and selected developing nations.

“The stakes continue to rise for hungry people in this country,” says Mia Hubbard, MAZON’s Vice President of Programs. “Charitable food programs are struggling to keep up with unprecedented demand, and at the same time government food and nutrition assistance programs are under attack. We at MAZON believe the public and private sectors each have a vital role to play in protecting families when jobs, opportunity and food remain out of reach. We are proud that our grantmaking, with its strong focus on advocating for hungry people, continues to reflect that belief.”
