Universal Statement Against Hunger

In the fall of 2005, representatives from five national youth organizations – United Synagogue Youth (USY), B’nai Brith Youth Organization (BBYO), North American Federation of Temple Youth (NFTY), Noar Hadash and Young Judaea – joined together to create the first MAZON Youth Council.

The Youth Council organizes to discuss issues relating to hunger and the fight for social justice.  To emphasize the importance of tikkun olam (repairing the world), the MAZON Youth Council has developed a Universal Statement Against Hunger, which students can sign as an expression of commitment to helping the hungry.

Please take a moment to read the Universal Statement and add your name to the growing list below.

The members of NFTY, USY, No'ar Hadash, Young Judaea and BBYO are united in standing against hunger. As members, and as current and future leaders of the Jewish community, we are committing ourselves to ending hunger through performing acts of social justice within our communities and advocating for a hunger-free world.
