MAZON: A Jewish Response to Hunger

California Nutrition & Healthy Eating Initiative

In July 2007, in partnership with The California Endowment, MAZON launched its California Nutrition & Healthy Eating Initiative. The goal of this three-year project is to research, develop and disseminate strategies, tools and best practices to assist hunger relief organizations in their efforts to become stronger community resources for healthy eating. A Steering Committee was formed to represent MAZON’s California grantees in assembling tools and best practices that were shared with colleagues at the 2009 and 2010 California Hunger & Nutrition Policy Conference.
