Robert L. Bergen, M.D.
Robert L. Bergen, M.D. is the retired president and founder of Retina Associates of New Jersey, a private practice in Teaneck, New Jersey. Active in the medical community, he served as the president for the Retina and Vitreous Society of New Jersey from 1988 to 1990 and is currently a member. He has also been involved with the Vitreous Society and the American Medical Association.
Dr. Bergen was an Associate Clinical Professor in Ophthalmology at the New Jersey College of Medicine in Newark, New Jersey and is still an Assistant Clinical Professor of Ophthalmology. He has written numerous articles and has been involved with many clinical trials.
Dr. Bergen received his undergraduate degree from the University of Michigan, Ann Arbor and his doctorate of medicine from the University of Kentucky, Lexington. He also served as a Captain in the Air Force Reserves.
