MAZON: A Jewish Response to Hunger

MAZON supports a network of highly effective hunger fighters. Food banks receive & distribute tons of perishable donations. Backpack programs provide hundreds of children meals to take home for the weekend. Agencies help dozens of working families access vital services to get back on their feet. None of this could happen without volunteers.

That’s part of our dual approach to ending hunger: besides giving to MAZON, we encourage our supporters to give their time to local community organizations through volunteer work. This is vital in a down economy, where need continues to climb, as the ability for many to give funds falls. Volunteer work brings meaning to Bar/Bat Mitzvah students, families, and synagogue groups. A few hours of your time means the world to the less fortunate.
