Joel E. Jacob

Born in Detroit, Michigan, Joel Jacob is the Chairman and founder of The Bottle Crew, a global source for bottles, closures and trigger sprayers.

In 2009, Joel Jacob was elected the Chair of MAZON: A Jewish Response to Hunger. The journey to Joel becoming Chairman of MAZON began when he was a 15-year-old teenager bussing tables at weddings and Bar Mitzvahs at Congregation Shaarey Zedek. Joel would take the dishes back to the dish washers whom he would observe eating the unfinished food off of the plates. Those images of hunger would stay with Joel throughout the years as he became an activist on behalf of those who are hungry.

From Washington State to Washington D.C. and throughout the world, Joel Jacob has traveled on behalf of MAZON, advocating for our hungry neighbors who do not have a voice.

Joel Jacob is the former chairman of Kids Kicking Cancer, The Leonard N. Simons Jewish Community Archives, and the United Jewish Communities Young Leadership Cabinet, Michigan Region. Joel Jacob is also the Founder of CEO’s Under 17, a program that teaches inner city youth entrepreneurial skills.

Joel Jacob is a member of Congregation Shaarey Zedek in Michigan. An advocate for all good causes, Joel Jacob is the recipient of the United Way Heart of Gold Award and the Jewish Community Relations Council activist award. He is the proud parent of five children.
