Michelle Goldman is a Vice President of Human Resources at Verizon, leading the human resources business partner team supporting 50,000+ employees in Global Network & Technology and Corporate Strategy. Michelle’s leadership and vision align end-to-end human resources services and the employee experience with key business strategies and goals, while driving Verizon’s people strategy on matters of workforce planning, talent transformation, succession planning, and organizational design.
Prior to joining Human Resources in 2016, Michelle was an Associate General Counsel in Verizon’s Public Policy, Law and Security Department, specializing in labor and employment matters. Over the years, Michelle has served as the employment law team lead for Verizon’s pro bono Street Law program and represented Verizon as a commissioner on the ABA Commission on Domestic and Sexual Violence.
Prior to joining Verizon Wireless in 2003, Michelle was a labor and employment litigation associate at the law firm of Hughes Hubbard & Reed LLP in New York City.
Michelle received her J.D. from New York University School of Law, and a B.A. in Political Science from Washington University in St Louis. She resides in Springfield, New Jersey with her husband, Harris, their two children, Julia (15) and Nate (13), and their mini-goldendoodle named Wrigley (1).
