General Info & Impact

Is my gift tax deductible?

Yes! MAZON is a registered 501(c)(3) organization (Tax ID: 22-2624532). Your donation is tax-deductible to the fullest extent allowed by law.

MAZON is proud to keep our administrative costs low so that the vast majority of every dollar goes directly to supporting our programs. You can review our latest annual report and financial reports here.

Yes! While MAZON is headquartered in Los Angeles, our donations are processed at a trusted, well-respected facility in Albert Lea, MN. However, if you’d prefer to send your donation to our office directly, please reach out to mazon@mazon.org.

Yes! When you make your donation online, please enter the name of the honoree in the top field of the form (“Dedicate this donation”). After completing your donation, you will see options to write a personalized message, send a card with your dedication, and schedule it to be sent on a specific date and time. If you would like help making a tribute gift or if you would like to send several tributes with one donation, please get in touch with our team, we’d be happy to assist you.

It’s easy to create a campaign that you can share with family and friends, and you can customize your fundraising page around any type of event or initiative. To get started, please reach out to mazon@mazon.org and we will help you build a custom fundraising page and link to use in your efforts.

Rooted in the Jewish tradition of feeding the hungry during celebrations, you can donate a symbolic percentage of your event cost to MAZON.

  • Donate 3%: Share your celebration with those less fortunate by supporting our mission. Consider donating 3% of what you will spend on your celebration to MAZON.
  • Donations in lieu of Gifts: Ask your guests to contribute to MAZON in lieu of giving you a gift. We can help you set up your own donation page to track and manage the gifts that your guests make in your honor.

Managing Your Gift

Can I manage or review my online donations?

After you donate, MAZON gives you access to a personal online space called the Donor Portal, giving.mazon.org. There you can:

  1. See your donation history
  2. Manage your recurring plans
  3. Download tax receipts
  4. Update your contact details.

The Donor Portal has no passwords. Each time you want to sign in, you receive a secure link by email, click the link to open your portal. The link is private to you. There’s no password to remember or lose, and nothing to set up in advance. 

There are two ways you can get that link:

  1. After you donate, MAZON sends you a thank you email after each donation. Click Go to Donor Portal at the bottom of that email.
  2. At any other time, go to giving.mazon.org. Enter the email address you used when you donated. Check your inbox for a sign-in link from MAZON and click it.
  3. Sign-in links expire after 24 hours. If yours has expired, go back to giving.mazon.org and enter your email again to get a new one.

For online gifts, a tax receipt will be emailed to you immediately after your donation is processed. You can also download a tax receipt in the Donor Portal at giving.mazon.org. For all other gifts, a tax receipt will be emailed or mailed to the address you provided. If you’d like a copy of your donation receipt, please reach out to mazon@mazon.org.

  1. You can manage your recurring donation in the Donor Portal at giving.mazon.org. Your active recurring plans appear on the main page of your portal. Each plan shows the donation amount and next payment date. To open a plan and make changes, click View details on the plan you want to update. 
  2. To cancel your plan, scroll down and click Cancel recurring donation. Before you cancel, you’ll see an option to skip payments instead – for 1 month, 3 months, or a custom period of up to 12 months. Your donation resumes automatically after the skip ends. If you’d still like to cancel, click Just cancel my donation and confirm.

Yes! To explore all of the ways you can support MAZON, please visit mazon.org/give. 

Many companies offer matching gift programs that will double or even triple your donation to MAZON. Please contact your employer’s human resources department and request matching gift information and instructions. Security & Privacy

Is my online donation secure?

Yes, we use industry-standard SSL technology to keep your information secure. We partner with Stripe, the industry’s established payment processor trusted by some of the world’s largest companies. Your sensitive financial information never touches our servers. We send all data directly to Stripe’s PCI-compliant servers through SSL.
