Food insecurity in Tribal Nations runs at nearly twice the national rate, the direct result of centuries of dispossession, broken federal promises, and chronic underinvestment in Indigenous communities. The federal programs meant to serve these communities are chronically underfunded and structurally inadequate. MAZON works alongside Tribal Nations for food sovereignty and the federal investment their communities are owed.
