No One Deserves to Go Hungry Postcard Campaign

We’re launching a national postcard campaign to flood the U.S. Department of Agriculture (USDA) with messages demanding protection for basic needs programs that help our neighbors put food on the table.

Each postcard will represent 1,000 people experiencing hunger. Our goal: 47,000 postcards delivered to Secretary of Agriculture Brooke Rollins with a simple message:  No one deserves to go hungry. No exceptions.

Here’s how it works:

  1. Order postcards. We’ll send you everything you need: a full digital toolkit, printable resources, return postage for your collected postcards, and the postcards themselves. Note that postcard packages will be sent out on Mondays and Thursdays, excluding holidays. Expect 1-2 weeks of processing time after orders come in for them to get out the door and on their way to you. If you need your postcards on a faster timeline for an upcoming plan or program, contact us at outreach@mazon.org.
  2. Write your postcards and get others to write them as well. Consider hosting a party or handing them out to your friends, family or, community members.
  3. Return postcards to MAZON in the pre-paid envelope we send. We’ll make sure the letters get to USDA. Please return your postcards ASAP after you complete them. Our current goal is to finish collecting postcards in the fall after the High Holy Days — so please, incorporate postcards into your High Holy Day plans!

For full information, check out our toolkit here. Questions? Email Spencer Kaseff, Senior Outreach Manager.

As postcards start to roll in, come back here for our “No One Deserves to Go Hungry” Postcard Campaign Leaderboard! We’ll update periodically with our Postcard Superlatives: Biggest Postcard Commitment, Most Postcards Written – Individual, Most Postcards Written – Community, and Postcard Quote of the Week.
