This April, leadership from various denominations are joining MAZON in Washington, D.C. for a Jewish Clergy Justice Mission to learn about hunger in America through a Jewish lens, engage in advocacy and policy training, and meet with members of Congress and their staff about these issues on Capitol Hill.
MAZON’s Jewish Clergy Justice Mission will convene rabbis and cantors from various denominations in Washington, DC to learn about hunger in America through a Jewish lens, engage in advocacy and policy training, and meet with members of Congress and their staff about these issues on Capitol Hill.
The JCJM begins at 6:30pm on Sunday, April 28 and concludes at 2pm on Tuesday, April 30, 2019.
On Sunday and Monday, all programming will be held at The Darcy (1515 Rhode Island Ave NW Washington, DC 20005).
Tuesday's Lobby Day will be held on Capitol Hill. A detailed schedule of times and locations for Lobby Day will be distributed during the program.
MAZON has reserved a block of hotel rooms at our conference hotel. The hotel is $239 per night, before taxes and fees; you must book by April 5 to get the conference rate. You may book your room here. You are not obligated to stay at The Darcy - please just inform the MAZON team if you are staying elsewhere.
MAZON’s Jewish Clergy Justice Mission is open to rabbis and cantors of all denominations.

Registration for the Jewish Clergy Justice Mission includes dinner on Sunday, breakfast and lunch on Monday, and breakfast on Tuesday. All meals will be vegetarian/pesecatarian, but kosher meals may be requested.
On Tuesday, there will be an option to request a kosher boxed lunch (please indicate your need for this on the registration form). If you do not require kosher food, there will be an option to purchase lunch on your own at one of the Capitol Hill cafeterias.
A draft schedule will be shared closer to the event. Registered participants will receive a welcome packet which will include an updated schedule prior to arrival in DC.
No, you do not need to make any Hill appointments. MAZON will schedule all appointments for the Lobby Day on Tuesday. If you would like to extend your stay and make your own appointments with legislators after the Jewish Clergy Justice Mission you are welcome to do so.
Dress on Sunday and Monday will be business casual. For the Lobby Day on Tuesday we suggest business clothing and comfortable shoes.
