Before returning to his native Los Angeles, Joe spent nearly six years working in the Bay Area on a wide array of domestic and foreign policy issues, most recently as the Public Affairs & Civic Engagement Manager for the Jewish Community Relations Council of San Francisco. He served as a field director on a San Francisco supervisorial campaign, having previously interned on multiple presidential campaigns, the offices of elected officials at all levels of government, and prominent advocacy organizations. Joe served on the board of the Jewish Film Institute, was a Mayoral Appointee on the San Francisco Airport Facilities Naming Committee, and is an alumnus of the Point Foundation, the nation’s largest LGBT leadership, mentoring, and scholarship organization. Joe holds a Masters of Political Management and a B.A. degree in Political Communication from The George Washington University in Washington, D.C.
