MAZON leads groups in call on farm bill to address military hunger (Fence Post)

August 15, 2024 — MAZON: A Jewish Response to Hunger last week sent a letter signed by 49 national organizations to the chairs and ranking members of the House and Senate agriculture committees urging Congress to ensure that the next farm bill removes barriers to the Supplemental Nutrition Assistance Program for currently serving military families.

August 9, 2024 — In July, MAZON: A Jewish Response to Hunger announced nearly $3.5 million in new grants to 52 local anti-hunger partner organizations, expanding its investment in fighting food insecurity.

Their new grants are for organizations advocating for the people of Puerto Rico, indigenous communities in the U.S. and vulnerable populations in Israel, as well as partners in Arkansas, Georgia, Kansas and Oklahoma.

July 30, 2024 — New polling from the Siena College Research Institute, in partnership with Feeding New York State, identifies strong support for a package of legislative and Farm Bill proposals active in Congress. The survey included a nationally representative sample of 1,000 United States residents aged 18 and older, with a margin of error of +/- 3.3 percentage points.
