Dan, a litigation attorney, is a founding shareholder of Hangley Aronchick Segal Pudlin & Schiller, a fifty-attorney Philadelphia law firm. He received his undergraduate degree from Yale University, his Master of Science degree in International Relations from the London School of Economics, and his law degree from Harvard Law School. Dan served as law clerk to the Honorable Thurgood S. Marshall, Associate Justice of the United States Supreme Court.
Dan is a past president of the Juvenile Law Center, the Auerbach Central Agency for Jewish Education, Akiba Hebrew Academy, the Board of Overseers of the University of Pennsylvania Hillel Foundation, and the Jewish Community Relations Council of the Jewish Federation of Greater Philadelphia. He is currently a member of the New Israel Fund’s International Council and chair of NIF’s Philadelphia Regional Council.
Dan’s been married for 51 years to Sheila Segal. They have two married sons and six grandchildren.
