As we approach the High Holy Days, we rejoice, reflect, and recommit ourselves to caring for our community. Currently, more than 35,000 kids in Colorado lack reliable access to affordable, nutritious school meals and don’t qualify for free or reduced-price lunches. This November, Colorado voters can ensure that every student receives free and healthy meals, without stigma, and is ready to learn during the school day.

Join MAZON and Jewish leaders across Colorado for training about how you or your congregation can take action to end child hunger in Colorado. The training will take place on Zoom on Wednesday, September 7th at 3 pm. You will receive a link upon registration. We encourage you to share this invitation widely among your networks throughout the state. Please note that this training is open to all Jewish Colorado clergy, educators and staff, regardless of advocacy and organizing experience.

We are joined by Hunger Free Colorado’s Director of Organizing & Community Partnerships, Karla Gonzalez Garcia, for an overview about the Healthy School Meals for All (HSMA) ballot initiative. You will leave the training with tangible, interactive programming to bring to your congregation for the High Holy Days, Sukkot and leading up to the election.
