June 15 & June 22: Faith and Advocacy — Harnessing Jewish Voices to End Hunger in New Jersey
On June 15, MAZON: A Jewish Response to Hunger, Congregation Beth Sholom, Temple Emeth, Netivot Shalom, and New Jersey Senator Loretta Weinberg joined a virtual conversation. Senator Weinberg and MAZON’s President and CEO Abby J. Leibman were joined by Rabbi Joel Pitkowsky to discuss Jewish values, policies to address hunger, and how we can build the political will to end hunger in New Jersey. This event was held virtually. Watch a recording of the event below.
Then, on June 22 at 6:30 PM ET, please join MAZON’s Organizer, Lauren Banister, for an in-person activity and conversation on advocacy to fight hunger. This is a unique opportunity to learn directly from MAZON staff about how you can get involved in ongoing efforts to address food insecurity in New Jersey. This event will be held in person; details provided upon registration.
While these events are connected, you do not need to attend both. Please join us for one or both of these events.
