We want to extend a heartfelt thank you to the incredible student leaders from Tufts University who helped us table at the Hillel International Global Assembly (HIGA). A special thank you goes to Elijah Fraiman and Corey Title, the dedicated Challah for Hunger co-chairs at Tufts, and to Marilyn Goldman, Director of Operations at Tufts Hillel. Your leadership, support, and commitment to addressing food insecurity made this experience even more meaningful. We are so grateful to have had you by our side!

Here’s a bit of what Elijah, Corey, and Marilyn had to say about their experience:

“We were honored to be invited to join the national Challah for Hunger team at the Hillel International Global Assembly (HIGA). As student leaders at Tufts Hillel and co-chairs of Challah for Hunger at Tufts, HIGA was an amazing opportunity for us.

“While we love baking challahs, spreading awareness about food insecurity is the reason why we do what we do for Challah for Hunger. HIGA was an opportunity we couldn’t pass up. Not only could we talk about how we run our operation at Tufts, but also speak to Hillel professionals from all over about how they can get Challah for Hunger branches started up on their campuses as well! We also delved into conversations about how Challah for Hunger can engage more students, both Jewish and non-Jewish, who care about fighting food insecurity and enjoy baking challahs.

“Thank you to Tammy, Liz, and the rest of the team at MAZON. We were honored to be invited as your special guests to HIGA and are looking forward to working together again soon!”

Historic Cuts to SNAP Deepen the War on Women (Ms. Magazine)

They also hope to increase funding for pursuit of immigrants.  Read more.
