Liza Lieberman is Vice President of Public Affairs at MAZON: A Jewish Response to Hunger, promoting the organization’s policy priorities and strengthening its role and reputation as an authoritative voice in the anti-hunger field. Prior to this role, she was MAZON’s Director of Public Policy, chairing the Hunger Subcommittee of a national interfaith policy coalition. Liza joined the team at MAZON after nearly a decade of experience at HIAS, the global Jewish nonprofit that protects refugees. Her tenure at HIAS spanned various public affairs roles related to advocacy, community engagement, and fundraising. She is a proud volunteer counselor with Crisis Text Line and holds a degree in International Relations from American University.
