Sammy Chavin is the Public Policy Associate in MAZON: A Jewish Response to Hunger’s Washington, D.C. office. In this role Sammy supports the implementation of MAZON’s advocacy agenda including efforts to protect and strengthen the federal nutrition safety net. Sammy brings expertise in event management, project management, and community engagement to the MAZON team. She previously completed the Jews United for Justice Jeremiah Community Organizing Fellowship and served on the Paid Leave for DC core organizing team. Sammy holds a Bachelor of Science in Neuroscience and a Bachelor of Arts in French from Lafayette College. She is currently enrolled in the George Washington University’s Graduate School of Political Management to complete her Masters in Political Management.
