MAZON Commemorates One Year After October 7th Attacks

Marking one year after the attacks on October 7th, MAZON released the following statement attributable to President & CEO Abby J. Liebman:

“On this devastating anniversary, when our hearts are breaking, we continue to pray for the safety of our friends, families, partners, and all those who are fighting to make the region more peaceful, safe, and food secure. We wish you a Shana Yoter Tova — a better year ahead, one filled with peace, health, and safety for all.”

More agriculture-related groups have reacted to President-elect Trump’s choice of Brooke Rollins as agriculture secretary.

Abby Leibman, president and CEO of MAZON: A Jewish Response to Hunger said, “Donald Trump’s domestic policies during his first term were disastrous for the tens of millions of low-income Americans facing food insecurity, so it is deeply alarming that he would select one of the architects for those blueprints to lead USDA moving forward.” Read more.
