Your help changes lives

Tens of millions of Americans aren’t sure where their next meal will come from, but you and your community can help end hunger. It’s easy to create a fundraising campaign that you can share with friends and family, and you can can customize your campaign around any type of event. Please download MAZON’s Fundraising Guide and contact Sarah Pratter, Deputy Director of Strategic Partnerships, with any questions.

Fundraising Ideas

Host an Event

Coordinate an event to raise money for MAZON. Your event can be anything you imagine, but here are some ideas:

  • Walk to End Hunger
  • Garage sale
  • Dinner with paid attendance or MAZON tzedakah boxes on each table
  • Bake sale
  • Lemonade stand
  • Craft fair

Choose MAZON for a Tzedakah or Tikkun Olam Project

Have your synagogue, religious school, elementary school or other group choose MAZON as the tzedakah project for a month. We can provide educational activities to help your group learn about what can be done to end hunger. Then ask the community to donate to MAZON throughout the month.

Host a Hunger Seder

Encourage your synagogue to host a Hunger Seder. MAZON can provide a customized Hagaddah as well as educational materials. Donate a portion of participants’ ticket cost to MAZON or use MAZON tzedakah boxes on each table to encourage participants to support MAZON at Passover.

Enjoy a Night Out

Many local restaurants, movie theaters or playhouses will donate a portion of the proceeds from one night to a worthy cause. Find a local deli, ice cream shop, movie theater, etc. to donate a percentage from one night and then get all your friends, family, community members to go out and support MAZON.
