Joining the team in late 2015, Liz Braun-Lilenfeld serves as the Director of Outreach at MAZON. Grounded in Jewish text and tradition, she seeks opportunities for education, collaboration and civic engagement, with the goal of weaving a commitment to advocacy into the communal fabric of synagogues and schools. Prior to joining MAZON, Liz worked at Jewish World Watch, rallying the American Jewish community to address genocide and mass atrocities, once again via advocacy. Liz participated in the 2009 Aliyah of the Brandeis Collegiate Institute and the Jeremiah Fellowship (2011-2012), and graduated from UC Berkeley with a B.A. in English.
MAZON is not just a Jewish response to hunger, it is the Jewish response to hunger — the collective voice of an age-old people who know how to change the world. Through MAZON, we express our particular passion for justice and our communal commitment to uplifting all people.
