Ana Mendelson became involved with MAZON through her work with Challah for Hunger at the University of Virginia. At UVA, Ana earned degrees in Psychology and Communication Disorders. Her fourth-year capstone was a research-based public service project on creating autism-friendly theatre. After graduation, she joined the Avodah Jewish Service Corps, working as a Client Services Associate at the Medicare Rights Center. She has a master’s degree in Speech Language Pathology from Northwestern University. She works as a Speech-Language Pathologist at Weisman Children’s Rehabilitation Hospital in Philadelphia. Inspired by her Jewish values, Ana is dedicated to creating a more equitable world through systemic change. She’s grateful to partner with MAZON in this work.
MAZON is not just a Jewish response to hunger, it is the Jewish response to hunger — the collective voice of an age-old people who know how to change the world. Through MAZON, we express our particular passion for justice and our communal commitment to uplifting all people.
